Permanent Locations

Stray Dog at the Main Library opened in October of 2019. Its sidewalk-accessible entrance is located at 75 S. Main Street, also known as King James Way. Access is also available through the Main Library on the first floor. Parking is available at the Library parking deck, across Main Street at the paid parking spaces, or further down the street past the Library entrance.
It’s the very first version of Stray Dog Cafe and is now the model that we shape each location.  
We began Stray Dog with a mission to be involved in the betterment of Akron and we are ecstatic to be here at the epicenter of Akron while we do it.  
Stray Dog at the Main Library is moments away from dozens of beautiful and iconic landmarks of Akron including The Akron Civic Theater, Lock 3, Canal Park, and dozens of art installments sprinkled all over Main Street, including the new sculpture at Mill Street and the Akron Stories kiosk where you can learn about Akron’s historic Rubber heritage.  

Cafe 388 is open Monday through Friday from 9 am-2 pm. It is located at 388 South Main Street and is accessible through the main doors of the AES building on Main Street or through the entrance in the back of the building.  Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.  
Cafe 388 serves the full Stray Dog Menu while the chef makes fresh and unique soups and specialty items.
Cafe 388 was proudly added as our second Stray Dog location in November of 2019. We were graciously asked by the AES building to fill the empty kitchen spot that serves the building’s 20 businesses and the surrounding area.  We started our journey there pre-Covid and we’re able to stay open seamlessly with our dedicated staff while we filled hundreds of box lunch orders for frontline workers and essential workers.   
Cafe 388 also has been serving as the production space for The Akron Pickle and Stray Dog Spice. 

You can find us at our newest location inside the amazing Bounce innovation hub! Established in 2021, we have been committed to do all we can to serve those in need of a warm meal and a comforting drink. Stray Dog at Bounce serves the full Stray Dog menu as well as stellar specials that change daily. Located at 526 South Main Street, we are open every day, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, except on Fridays when we close at 2 pm. We hope to see you soon!
